Melike’s journey with scent began as a personal exploration of well-being.

While practicing law in Turkey, she discovered the benefits of essential oils and turned to them for balance. During her MBA studies in the U.S., she deepened her knowledge through formal aromatherapy education, earning a NAHA Level 2 certification with a focus on aromatic chemistry, physiology, and advanced blending techniques.
 

Seeing a gap in the market—where people were drawn to essential oils but unsure how to use them effectively—she founded Yoursy, the first customized aromatherapy brand, developing over 100 formulations tailored to individual needs. Her work later expanded to The Banyo Co., where she combines pure, therapeutic body care with traditional Turkish and Mediterranean rituals.

Committed to sustainability and ethical sourcing, she prioritizes high-quality, responsibly harvested ingredients and actively educates others on the risks of toxic ingredients and synthetic fragrances, helping people make informed choices about what they put on their skin and into their spaces.
 

Her expertise extends beyond well-being into the artistry of aromatic perfumery, working closely with master perfumers in Southern France, Paris, and the Dolomites to refine her craft. She continues to explore scent’s role in emotional connection, branding, and spatial experiences, further shaping her perspective through industry events such as Paris Perfume Week.

Through her brands and her role as a scent mentor, Melike shares her knowledge with individuals and businesses, guiding them in the art and science of scent. She leads workshops and private sessions, offering a space for learning, exploration, and deeper connection to natural scents.
